Location

The conference will be held in Chernivtsi National University, Chernivtsi, Universytetska st., 28, Department of Mathematics and Informatics.

Main Terms

  • The deadline for abstracts submitting is September 1, 2016. This can be done on the conference website or via email dfe2016@ukr.net.
  • Official invitations will be sent by September 5, 2016.

Registration of the participants who came to the conference will be on September, 28 from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. in the room 3, building 1 (Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Universytetska st., 28). Participants arriving before the conference and wanting to register, please inform the organizing committee in advance.

Opening ceremony and plenary reports of the first day will be on September, 28 at 11 a.m. in the Red Hall of the building 5, which is located in the former Metropolitan of Bukovyna and Dalmatia Residence (Kotsyubynskoho St., 2).
Afterwards, plenary reports and conference sections will be located back at the building 1, in the afternoon of September, 28, 29 and 30.
Friendly dinner is scheduled for September, 29 at 6 p.m. in a picturesque corner on the outskirts of the Chernivtsi city.

The registration fee for participants from Ukraine and members of ROMAI society from Romania and Moldova is 280 UAH (€ 10), for students and PhD students – 140 UAH, for participants from other countries – € 50. The contribution includes obtaining a set of materials, organizational costs, coffee breaks, etc. Accommodation cost and cultural programs are paid separately.

The fee can be transferred to the account number 29244825509100 in “Privatbank”, MFO 305299, EDRPOU code 14360570. Please indicate the first and the last names of the sender with a mark “registration fee”. Alternatively, the fee can be paid at the registration on the day of arrival.

Invited speakers do not pay the registration fee and the cultural program fee.

Participants unable to arrive at the conference may publish their abstracts, obtain a hard copy of the conference proceedings and/or place a report presentation on our website provided that they pay 70 UAH until September, 10. This fee can be paid via bank transfer or directly to the Organizing Committee.

Abstracts of up to one page need to be submitted on the conference website or via Email to the Organizing Committee – dfe2016@ukr.net. Abstracts requirements are posted on the official conference website http://dfe2016.fmi.org.ua. The conference proceedings will be issued before the opening of the conference.

Articles on the materials reports made at the conference, edited and approved, will be published in the “Bucovinian Mathematical Journal” by the Chernivtsi University.

The conference provides the plenary (40 minutes) and sectional (15 to 25 minutes) reports. Computer equipment is available.

Arriving to Chernivtsi. Chernivtsi city has direct railway links to Bucharest, Kyiv, Kovel, Lviv, Odesa, Moscow and an extensive network of local bus routes around Ukraine as well as international routes (Italy, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Romania, Czech Republic and others). A direct flight from Kyiv to Chernivtsi is available. Departure is from “Boryspil” airport at 8.40 p.m., arriving at 9.55 p.m. to Chernivtsi.

Accommodation

  1. "Bukovyna" hotel (Holovna St., 141; approx. 2 km away from the building 1, trolleybus 3 or 5):
    • single room "economy" (with breakfast) = 495 UAH per day;
    • double room "economy" (with breakfast) = 595 UAH per day.
  2. “Kyiv” hotel (Holovna St., 46; approx. 0.8 km away from the building 1):
    • single room “economy” = 325 UAH per day;
    • double room “standard” = 380 UAH per day;
    • triple room = 480 UAH per day.
  3. University hostel (Nebesnoyi Sotni St., 4A; approx. 4 km away from the building 1; going by bus 5 or trolleybus 1 or 5).
    Rooms with four beds and private facilities. The price is 60 to 80 UAH for a person.
  4. Vocational school hostel (18 beds, Ruska St., 198; approx. 4 km away from the building 1; going by trolleybus 2 to the station “Chernivtsi Cinema”).
    Double and triple rooms with private facilities. The price is 90 UAH for a person per day.

Please submit applications for accommodation in dormitories to the Organizing Committee until September 15, 2016.
Rooms at the “Bukovyna” and other hotels throughout the city are available for booking on their respective websites.

Meal. On September, 28-30 the conference participants can have dinner at the “Ratusha” restaurant (City Hall, entrance from Ivan Franko St.; dinner costs 45 UAH), “Sunychka” café (100 m away from the university, Universytetska St., 42; dinner costs 40 UAH), university library café (100 m away from building 1, Lesi Ukrayinky St., 23) or any other restaurant and/or café around the city.

Excursions

  1. On the first day of the conference, September 28, a tour will be held around the main university building (the former Metropolitan of Bukovyna and Dalmatia Residence, which is the third Ukrainian object that is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List).
  2. On the second day, September, 29, a walking tour “Architectural pearl of Chernivtsi” is scheduled.
  3. On the afternoon of September, 30 a tour to one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine, Khotyn fortress, will take place.

Registration fee and accommodation

Registration fee makes up 280 (=€10) for participants from Ukraine and for members of ROMAI from Romania and Moldova, for postgraduates and students 150, for participants from other countries - € 50 and includes: participation in the conference, receiving a complete amount of materials, organization expenditures and etc. The cost of dwelling and recreational programs are paid separately.

Accommodation of particapants will be organized in city hotels and hostels of educational institutions. Additional information on the payment of the registration fee and accommodation will be announced later.

Requirements for abstracts typesettings

Abstracts of talks up to one page should be sent to dfe2016@ukr.net. The typesettings rules are put on the official webpage of the conference www.dfe2016.fmi.org.ua. One author can submit no more than 2 abstracts (the other report has to be prepared with co-authors). The collection of abstracts of talks will be published before the opening of the conference. Proceedings of the conference subject to consideration by the editors will be recommended for publication in the “Bucovinian Mathematical Journal” which is issued in Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
